Once upon a time, my family used to spend quite a bit of time at this lake. It
it called Pine Lake and is located in upstate New York. It had the softest sand I ever felt.
My stepdad used to own it, way back when..
It once was also an amusement part, and also had
a very scary, tall and dangerous metal slide that stood off from the beach and ended in the water.
I never went down it. Am not sure, but I think it was closed up when we spending there.
The slide was next to a building called the Timberline. There had been a bar on the first floor, and a camp/apartment on the second floor.
Every now and then we would spend the night there, not often though...for which I am thankful.

My stepdad always seemed to have a good story
to tell. He used to host youth Halloween parties up at the camp, and scared us all silly!
Often they included a seance, and let me tell you they were very, very freaky, at least in my twelve year old mind.
Back to my point about being thankful we did not spend too many nights there.
Well, I was in my early teen years...and very easily spooked.
Who do you think got to sleep in the "haunted" room?
You got it! Me!
According to "legend" hunters used to spend time in the camp.
For some reason the light in this room would not stay off.
It would be turned off, only to later appear back on.
After so many times of doing this, my stepdad said he unscrewed the lightbulb..
to no avail...Apparently the ghost did not want to be in the dark.
Now, I don't know if he was just pulling me leg, or telling the truth, because this man can spin
quite the ghost tell, but I often slept with one eye open..
well the covers were over my head, so I didn't really see much.
